Ala Carte Café

This is everything a simple american diner should be; great staff, both the servers, and in the kitchen. Small place, but tables moved quickly. This is my new favorite place for a hearty breakfast after birding the marshes near Magee and Ottawa all morning. The server was fast and made helpful suggestions; I couldn't decide between the smothered biscuit or trash potatoes, and they suggested the trash bowl, which was a mashup of both and so good! Food came out quickly and was HOT; enough so that I slightly burned my tongue because I couldn't wait to dig in. Had several brands of hot sauce available for your eggs, if that's your thing. 10/10, will be back next time I'm in the Port Clinton area.

Prices inexpensive Great atmosphere Manager/Waitress sorry I forgot your names but thanks for giving us a little history of the place. Service was quick. To the bartender the restroom were 10 . We'll be back very comfortable place.

Best breakfast in town! Been coming here for 10 years, and every time the food is fantastic. Service is accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend.

09/21/2024 - First time visiting Ala Carte Cafe with a buddy of mine and it was a great experience. There was a host outside asking the number of parties to determine best seating. Once you enter the restaurant you are greeted by the staff members. They exemplify team work from communication to helping each other out. I ordered their Two Egg Breakfast Combo with bacon, wheat toast, a cup of coffee, and YUMMY! Their decor was tributary to workers of the city. Comfortable seating. Amazing service. Parking near the restaurant. Decent prices.

YES. This is the small hidden breakfast gem you're looking for when visiting Port Clinton. Food is homemade, fresh, and delicious. Service is homey and efficient. You'll witness wait staff greeting locals by name and you don't have a long wait between ordering and receiving food.

Good traditional breakfast spot. Blueberry pancakes were well done. Nice and fluffy. They feature a very nice sausage patty that I always get.
